Born and raised in Paris, Talia is an emerging opera director, with an interest in exploring the female experience and the psychology of each character, using the musical score as a prism through which to access deeper truths about human nature. She is interested in creating bold and physical theatre that challenges the boundaries of the operatic form.
Talia trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, graduating with an MA in Opera Directing in 2024, after completing her BA at King’s College London in English with Film.
An emerging opera director based in London, she was British Youth Opera’s first trainee director and directed The Rape of Lucretia in August 2024 at the Brunel Museum.
In the summer of 2025, Talia is directing Juliana Hall’s A World Turned Upside Down - The Diary of Anne Frank at Waterperry Opera Festival. In the 2024/2025 season, Talia is Assistant Director for Il Turco in Italia (Glyndebourne Autumn), The Makropulos Affair (Scottish Opera) & Le nozze di Figaro (Glyndebourne Summer).
She has assisted directors such as Mariame Clément, Olivia Fuchs, Rachael Hewer, Anisha Bondy & Elsa Rooke.
Talia is fluent in both English and French.
