Born and raised in Paris, Talia is an emerging opera director, with an interest in exploring the female experience and the psychology of each character, using the musical score as a prism through which to access deeper truths about human nature. She is interested in creating bold and physical theatre that challenges the boundaries of the operatic form.

Talia trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, graduating with an MA in Opera Directing in 2024, after completing her BA at King’s College London in English with Film.

An emerging opera director based in London, she is British Youth Opera’s first trainee director and will direct The Rape of Lucretia in August 2024 at the Brunel Museum. She will be assisting on a revival production of Il Turco in Italia at Glyndebourne in Autumn 2024.

She has assisted directors such as Mariame Clément, Olivia Fuchs, Rachael Hewer, Anisha Bondy & Elsa Rooke.

Talia is fluent in both English and French.
